Terms of Use
Effective August 30, 2026
These terms are the contract between you and Epic Life Planner for the website, the weekly issue, and related features. If you do not agree, do not create an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The agreement
By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for a household, you confirm you are allowed to share that household’s details with us.
The service
Epic Life Planner researches local, regional, and longer-trip ideas and sends a weekly email with decided picks for your household. Regional recommendations on the free plan are included without a card. Local, world, and the weekly paid issue require a paid plan after a 7-day trial.
We may change, pause, or stop parts of the service. Prices, availability, hours, and links in an issue can go stale after we send it. Confirm details on the venue or vendor’s page before you spend money or show up.
Accounts
You must be at least 18. Give us a real email you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using the account. You are responsible for activity under your login.
Household details you enter (including children’s ages) must be accurate enough for us to recommend age-appropriate things. Do not create an account for someone else without their permission.
Plans and billing
The free plan is regional only and does not require a card. The paid plan (“All three”) is $4 per month or $43 per year after a 7-day free trial. Starting the trial puts a card on file with Stripe. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged. After the trial, Stripe bills the rate you chose until you cancel.
Taxes may apply. We can change prices for future periods; we will tell you before a new rate hits an existing subscription. Failed payments can pause paid features until billing is current.
Refunds and canceling
Cancel anytime from Profile (Stripe’s billing portal) or by deleting the account. Canceling stops future charges. Unless a refund below applies, you keep access through the end of the period you already paid.
If you pay annually and email us within 30 days of the first paid charge, we will refund that year’s payment. You keep the issues we already sent. Monthly charges already billed are not refunded except where the law requires it, or where we choose to as a courtesy.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Scrape, copy, or resell the issues or our catalog in bulk.
- Probe, disrupt, or overload the service.
- Create accounts by automated means or share logins.
- Use the service for anything illegal or to harass anyone.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Picks are not bookings
We decide and link. You buy the ticket, room, or fare. Costs in an issue are research estimates, not quotes. We are not a travel agency, not a ticket seller, and not responsible for a third party’s prices, cancellations, safety, accessibility, or weather. You are responsible for passports, visas, insurance, and whether an activity is right for your household.
Our content
The site, the issue, the copy, and the brand are ours or our licensors’. We give you a personal, non-exclusive license to use them for your household’s planning. Venues, events, and photos may belong to other people; their names and marks stay theirs.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that an issue will arrive every Sunday, that a pick will still exist when you click, that it will fit every constraint, or that it will save you money. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Epic Life Planner and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for third-party bookings you make from a pick. Our total liability for a claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits; there they apply only as far as they can.
Ending the account
You can delete the account from Profile. We can close an account that violates these terms, that we cannot bill, or if we shut the product down. Deleting the account cancels a Stripe subscription right away. Surviving sections include the ones on picks, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the product. Continued use after the new terms take effect is acceptance. If you do not agree, cancel and delete the account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute belongs in court, you and we agree to the state and federal courts sitting in Tennessee, unless the law in your home state requires otherwise for you as a consumer.
